Job summary

Boogertman + Partners Architects is seeking a BIM Manager to lead BIM strategy in Waterfall City. You will establish BEPs, set and enforce BIM standards, manage digital models, and drive coordination across architecture, engineering, and construction teams.

You will guide stakeholders, implement 4D scheduling and 5D cost considerations, and foster company-wide BIM adoption while ensuring project delivery aligns with timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
• Master’s in Architecture (M.Arch) preferred; SACAP registration optional.

Key Responsibilities to include:

• To develop comprehensive BIM Execution Plans BEPs and establish standardized workflows
• To ensure compliance with international best practices while maintaining structured frameworks for stakeholder collaboration
• To develop and enforce BIM standards, manage digital models, and ensure compliance with industry best practices across architectural construction projects
• To typically operate within architectural firms, engineering consultancies, and construction companies
• To extend your influence beyond individual projects to shape company-wide BIM standards and implementation strategies
• To have direct impact on project coordination, documentation quality, delivery timelines, and budgets
• Federation of discipline-specific models
• Clash detection and resolution processes

Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Architectural Technology and Master’s in Architecture (M.Arch)
• Registration with South African Council for the Architectural Profession SACAP (Optional registration with SA Institute of Draughting SAID)
• Ongoing education through formal courses and workshops
• Industry association participation, conference attendance and knowledge network engagement
• Expertise in use of Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D with specialized certifications in Tekla, Dynamo, and Grasshopper
• Advanced skills in customization and template development
• Advanced knowledge of multi-platform integration for seamless data exchange
• Manages teams of modelers, coordinators, and specialists
• Provides technical direction and creating development environments
• Implements training programs for BIM methodologies
• Contributes to industry advancement through knowledge sharing
• A high standard of communication
