Job summary

JFE Civil Engineering & Construction Corporation is seeking a skilled BIM Modeler/BIM Engineer to perform basic to advanced drawing and modeling work using BIM software. You will report to the BIM Team Leader and contribute solutions within your tasks, with a focus on Revit-based architectural and structural drawings.

The role requires a 2+ years BIM experience, a 4-year technical degree in Civil/Architecture, and willingness to travel to Japan for project needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year technical degree course in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• At least 2 years of experience in the same BIM role.
• Must be able to create architectural and structural drawings using REVIT.
• Knowledge of other BIM concepts and software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create Architectural and Structural Revit models and drawings.
• Create and improve Revit families and templates.
• Develop detailed models for design and construction phases.
• Perform clash checks between architectural, structural and mechanical models.
• Acquire quantities from the design model.
• Collaborate with the BIM team to produce integrated models.
• Ensure models comply with Japanese Building Code and requirements.
• Learn Japanese language to communicate with counterparts.

JOB SUMMARY:

The BIM Modeler/ BIM Engineer uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) Software to perform basic to advance drawing and modeling work tasks in compliance with the company guidelines. Reports to the BIM Team Leader and perform assigned tasks. Must have the ability to suggest solutions within the scope of the tasks assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of 4-year Technical degree course, preferably Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• At least 2 years of experience in the same capacity.
• Must be able to create Structural and Architectural drawings using REVIT.
• Knowledge of other BIM Concepts and Software (Lumion, Enscape, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Solibri, BIM360) is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable and experience in creating and checking Architectural, Structural and Construction drawings is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Japanese design, construction and drawings is an advantage.
• Providing Portfolio (drawings and perspective) of past works is an advantage.
• Willing to travel to Japan and perform assigned duties as necessary.
• Willing to study Japanese Language.
• Willing to work overtime and on weekends and holidays if necessary.
• A good team player, able to express himself well and communicate with others; can foster good working relationship with colleagues.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Create dynamo code to reduce work time, use dynamo in drawing and model creation.
• Collaborate with other BIM team to create architectural, structural and construction models.
• Any other items to be developed through BIM.
• Create models in compliance with Japanese Building Code and JFE Civil design requirements.
• Learn Japanese Language to communicate with our Japanese counterparts.
• Actively participate in developing the use of BIM software in the company.
