Job summary

RealPage is seeking a Billing Specialist III to oversee complex prebilling for resident accounts and monitor submeter/RUBS billing accuracy. The role acts as a cross-functional expert for billing corrections, validation, and legacy workflows, leveraging advanced system access.

You will collaborate with Operations and Account Management to resolve issues, serve as the primary prebills contact, and ensure compliance with billing standards while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, accounting, finance preferred.
• 3+ years in billing operations, utility billing, accounts receivable, or related roles.
• Experience handling billing and manual processes, including bulk imports.
• Able to work cross-functionally with Operations, Account Management, and other teams.
• Advanced experience using billing or CRM systems with elevated permissions or Super-User access.
• Strong understanding of billing accuracy, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Experience creating and maintaining documentation, templates, SOPs, or macros.
• Ability to manage sensitive customer and resident data with discretion and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform prebilling tasks, including research, billing audits and corrections and escalations.
• Create and manage prebills for resident billing, including submeter/RUBS information.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve account setup, correction, billing, and missing bill issues.
• Serve as the sole point of contact for prebills.
• Confirm resident and account information with Account Managers to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
• Act as SME for legacy billing SOPs, processes and billing ops functions.
• Serve as the current Salesforce Super-User and former Nexus Super-User, maintaining advanced access and system expertise.
• Provide operational guidance on historical workarounds and process exceptions related to evolving corporate policies.
