Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Japanese Innovation Project Coordinator to support multiple product and packaging innovation projects for a leading CPG client. You will coordinate with Japanese and global stakeholders, from concept development through launch, leveraging Excel and PM tools to track progress.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in project coordination, strong organizational skills, and fluency in Japanese and English, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PM software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, coordination, or similar role.
• Experience in CPG/FMCG, consumer products, marketing, product development, or related industry preferred.
• Familiarity with product or packaging innovation and New Product Development (NPD) processes preferred.
• Japanese language proficiency with ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end project coordination for product and packaging innovation from concept through launch.
• Support day-to-day management and execution of multiple innovation projects.
• Coordinate with Japanese clients and global cross-functional teams for alignment on scope and timelines.
• Facilitate update meetings and communicate decisions, actions and progress.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and potential delays.
• Maintain project trackers and documentation using Excel and PM tools.
• Consolidate inputs from Japanese and global stakeholders to ensure complete requirements.
• Support review cycles to minimize iterations and keep projects moving.
• Prepare meeting minutes, presentations, and project reports.
• Identify risks, gaps, and issues and elevate to senior team members.
• Ensure effective communication across Japanese, local, and global teams.
