Job summary

Deltek, Inc is seeking a skilled BI/EDW specialist to support end-to-end analytics architecture. You will develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and Cognos reports, translate business requirements into scalable data warehouse solutions, and maintain Snowflake models and ELT pipelines.

The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Power BI, Cognos, Snowflake, and SQL, and the ability to work across deployment pipelines in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Dimensional Data Models, ideally Kimball’s Data Warehouse Lifecycle.
• Advanced experience with Power BI, including DAX measures, calculated columns, and optimization of complex semantic models.
• Hands-on experience with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and shaping from multiple enterprise data sources.
• Experience implementing Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of current end to end BI/EDW architecture to support deployed solutions.
• Gather data and analytics requirements from business partners and identify architectural solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical qualifications and data warehouse solutions.
• Develop, design, test, and modify Power BI dashboards, Cognos reports, and SQL to support critical business needs.
• Ensure BI solutions adhere to best practices and remain consistent across data flows and architectures.
• Create or oversee technical documentation throughout project lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data models, schemas, views, and procedures for scalable reporting.
• Build and optimize Snowflake data pipelines and ELT processes with performance tuning and security.
• Under Team Lead guidance, monitor intake items through the IT help desk and close assigned tickets.
