Job summary

Join MEDVA is seeking a BI/Data Analyst with expertise in Power BI to transform complex data into actionable insights. The role focuses on owning production Power BI reports, building semantic models, and collaborating with U.S.-based stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of BI experience, strong SQL, DAX, Power Query skills, and familiarity with ETL/ELT and Snowflake.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in BI, reporting analytics, data analysis, or Power BI development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, Power Query, and semantic models.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling skills.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs/JSON, Snowflake, and modern reporting architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business mindset.
• Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate analysis and development.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work independently with U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Nice to Have: Python, AWS, BI governance, staffing/BPO/healthcare data, ATS/CRM/HRIS systems, or PL-300 certification.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain production Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and scheduled refreshes.
• Develop and optimize Power BI solutions using DAX, Power Query/M, and data modeling.
• Write, troubleshoot, and validate SQL across multiple business systems.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and trace issues back to source systems and business processes.
• Maintain business definitions, metric logic, data dictionaries, and reporting documentation.
• Partner with U.S.-based leaders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
• Identify data-quality issues and opportunities to improve reporting and processes.
