We are looking for a Data Engineer who will support data migration, data warehousing, and analytics initiatives by building and optimizing Snowflake-based data solutions and migrating existing Power BI reports and datasets to Tableau, ensuring accurate, performant reporting for business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data solutions using Snowflake as the primary data warehouse.
- Support the migration of reports, dashboards, and datasets from Power BI to Tableau.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and transformations in Snowflake.
- Prepare and structure data for Tableau dashboards and reporting.
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources into Snowflake.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy during migration.
- Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and optimize query and dashboard performance.
- Document data models, migration processes, and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with the Data Manager, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders on reporting and data requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, particularly as a data warehouse.
- Strong SQL skills, including data transformation and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau for reporting and data visualization.
- Experience migrating Power BI reports/datasets to Tableau or working on similar BI migration projects.
- Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake data warehouse architecture and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Tableau data sources, calculated fields, and dashboard development.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience with Git/GitHub and cloud data platforms.
- Retail, e-commerce, or health & wellness industry experience.
