Qualifications

• Direct experience in medical billing, including mental health billing (ICD-10).
• Experience with Availity, TherapyNotes or SimplePractice portals.
• HIPAA training provided or certification held.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets for AR, payments and updates.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound/outbound calls with clients and therapists on inquiries and claim status.
• Check insurance eligibility and benefits for new clients before intake.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims through billing systems and portals.
• Review ERA/EOBs and post to accounts receivable tracking sheets.
• Resolve denials by identifying issues and resubmitting appropriately.
• Post payments in multiple billing systems and maintain accurate records.
• Navigate Availity, TherapyNotes, and SimplePractice portals.
• Organize SOPs, templates, and tracking sheets in Google Drive.
