• Direct experience in medical billing, including behavioral or mental health billing (ICD-10).
• Experience with insurance portals such as Availity, TherapyNotes, or SimplePractice.
• HIPAA certification (training provided if needed).
• Proficiency in Google Sheets for accounts receivable tracking and billing updates.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls related to client inquiries and claim status.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new clients.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims through billing systems.
• Review ERA/EOBs and post to AR tracking sheets.
• Manage denial resolution and resubmissions.
• Process client payment method updates and maintain billing records.
• Navigate Availity, TherapyNotes, and SimplePractice.
• Organize documents and SOPs in Google Sheets.
• Post payments accurately across multiple systems.
