Job summary

Rua Seguridad Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a Manufacturing & Process Improvement Engineer to enhance our production system, reduce bottlenecks, and improve throughput across bitumen-based operations.

You will lead equipment improvements, CAPEX projects, and continuous-improvement initiatives, working with Operations and Maintenance to deliver measurable cost savings and reliability. Travel to decanting sites and vendors may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering measurable improvements in manufacturing productivity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including process mapping and bottleneck analysis.
• Experience working on a plant floor and implementing improvements with operators and technicians.
• Ability to connect engineering decisions to business outcomes such as cost, capacity, payback, safety, and quality.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Rua's plant, decanting sites, suppliers, and project locations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, waste, downtime, and productivity opportunities.
• Improve throughput, cycle time, labor productivity, energy consumption, yield, equipment utilization, material flow, and process stability.
• Establish and monitor manufacturing metrics such as tons/hour, cost per unit, downtime, energy/unit, yield, capacity utilization, and OEE.
• Use structured problem-solving to identify root causes and develop sustainable engineering solutions.
• Work with Operations and frontline teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
• Lead selected equipment and process redesign projects, including mechanization, automation, and layout improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure improvements are commissioned, tested, documented, and transferred to Operations and Maintenance.
