You will work closely with Operations and our existing Maintenance Engineer while leading process redesign, equipment improvements, CAPEX projects, commissioning, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, waste, downtime, and productivity opportunities.
Improve throughput, cycle time, labor productivity, energy consumption, yield, equipment utilization, material flow, and process stability.
Establish and monitor practical manufacturing metrics such as tons/hour, cost per unit, downtime, energy/unit, yield, capacity utilization, and OEE where applicable.
Use structured problem-solving to identify root causes and develop sustainable engineering solutions.
Work with Operations and frontline teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
Lead selected equipment and process redesign projects, including process reconfiguration, mechanization, automation, layout improvements, and material-handling improvements.
Analyze interactions between equipment, people, materials, process flow, capacity, reliability, quality, and operating cost.
Work with vendors, fabricators, contractors, and internal teams to develop and implement practical engineering solutions.
Ensure improvements are properly commissioned, tested, documented, and transferred to Operations and Maintenance.
Develop technical requirements and business cases for production equipment and process improvements.
Evaluate technical alternatives based on capacity, cost, reliability, maintainability, safety, and lifecycle considerations.
Support vendor evaluation, equipment installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and stabilization.
Quantify expected and actual project benefits, including productivity gains, cost reduction, capacity improvement, and payback.
