Job summary

You will manage a fast-paced bar, maintain high standards of service, and uphold health and safety regulations while engaging guests and ensuring accurate orders and transactions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barman in hospitality, preferably high-volume or upmarket.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages including cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks with precision.
• Maintain an organised bar area, stocking bottles, glassware and equipment.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Barman to join the hospitality team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic bar and beverage environment. As a Barman, you will be at the forefront of guest experience, crafting exceptional cocktails and beverages whilst maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism. This role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for our clientele and contributing to the overall success of our hospitality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks with precision and flair

• Maintain an organised and clean bar area, including proper stocking of bottles, glassware and bar equipment

• Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktail recipes to provide informed recommendations to guests

• Engage with guests in a professional and friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing exceptional customer service

• Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions with accuracy and integrity

• Comply with all health, safety and licensing regulations related to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages

• Monitor guest consumption and refuse service where appropriate in accordance with responsible service of alcohol guidelines

• Collaborate with other bar staff, servers and management to ensure smooth operations and optimal guest satisfaction

• Maintain bar inventory records and report on stock levels and usage patterns

• Stay informed of current trends in mixology and bar management to continually enhance service offerings

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Barman in a hospitality environment, preferably in a high-volume or upmarket establishment

• Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, wines and beers with the ability to recommend beverages based on guest preferences

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests and build rapport

• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions accurately

• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

• Sound understanding of health, safety and responsible alcohol service regulations

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

• Professional appearance and impeccable personal hygiene standards

• Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications, such as responsible service of alcohol training, are advantageous
