Job summary

Arabica, a specialty coffee chain in Mandaluyong, invites applications for a barista role. You will prepare sandwiches and baked goods, grind and blend beans, brew coffee and tea, and serve customers with a friendly, informed approach.

We seek at least two years as a barista, strong espresso and latte art skills, and familiarity with coffee equipment maintenance. A bachelor’s degree is required; F&B training is preferred. Join our team to support sustainable, quality coffee experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to be assigned Mandaluyong City.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
• Diploma or certification in food and beverage (F&B) related-training is preferred.
• Certification, award or distinction in the coffee industry is a plus.
• At least two (2) years work experience as a barista.
• Proven knowledge and skills in coffee roasting, espresso extraction, latte art, among others.
• Proven knowledge and skills in coffee equipment installation, use and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers
• Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments
• Packaging food and beverages for sale
• Selling coffee and tea blends and merchandise, highlighting differences and educating customers about brewing methods
• Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, sanitizing equipment and utensils
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques
• Updating signage and displays to attract customers
• Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
• Working as part of a fun, high-energy team
• Initiating and maintaining customer relationship and familiarity
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls
• Various other duties as directed by the Store Manager
