Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the bar program, owning both the guest experience and the numbers behind it. You will run service on the floor, manage and develop the bar team, and ensure standards from open to close while optimizing the drink program and margins.

You will supervise staffing, coordinate with suppliers, and drive a consistent, craft-driven bar operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a bar role, with at least 1 in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong technical drink knowledge — spirits, classics, modern techniques such as infusions, batching and preparation systems.
• Proven experience with inventory control, costing, and hitting cost-of-goods targets.

Job description

We're looking for a Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our bar program and take ownership of both the guest experience and the numbers behind it.

In this role you'll run service on the floor, manage and develop the bar team, and keep standards consistent from open to close. You'll own the drink program — menu development, recipe costing, batching and prep systems, and quality control — alongside the operational side: inventory and ordering, supplier relationships, pour cost and margin management, scheduling, and compliance with licensing and health regulations.

The right person is as comfortable building a balanced cocktail as they are reading a P&L. You lead from behind the bar during peak service, train staff to your standards rather than working around them, and treat consistency as a craft in itself.
