Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Bank Teller to handle deposits, withdrawals, loan releases, and loan payments with accuracy and care. You will build warm, professional relationships with customers while ensuring compliance with controls and AML guidelines.

The role offers a pathway toward a Customer Marketing/Relationship function as you gain experience and demonstrate strong client engagement skills. Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Business and 1–3 years in banking are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Banking, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in banking, branch operations, customer service, or cash handling.
• Experience with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and/or loan releases is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify cash and check deposits with accuracy and complete supporting documents.
• Facilitate withdrawal transactions after validating identity and account details.
• Process loan releases and disbursements with required approvals.
• Receive and process loan payments including principal, interest, and penalties.
• Balance cash and transaction records at end of day and report discrepancies.
• Provide clients with accurate information on banking products and procedures.

Position Summary

The Bank Teller is responsible for accurately and efficiently handling daily banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan releases, and loan payments. Beyond branch operations, the role is designed to develop strong customer relationships, with the opportunity to transition into a Customer Marketing/Relationship role as the employee gains experience and demonstrates strong client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify cash and check deposits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transaction details and supporting documents.

• Facilitate withdrawal transactions, validating client identity, account information, authorization, and required documentation before releasing funds.

• Process loan releases and disbursements, ensuring all required approvals and documentation are complete.

• Receive and process loan payments, including principal, interest, penalties, and other applicable charges.

• Handle cash, checks, and other negotiable instruments in accordance with established banking controls and procedures.

• Maintain accurate transaction records and properly document all client transactions.

• Balance cash and transaction records at the end of each business day and immediately report any discrepancies.

• Provide clients with accurate information regarding banking products, account requirements, and transaction procedures.

• Build positive relationships with customers by providing warm, professional, and personalized service.

• Identify customer needs and appropriately introduce or refer relevant banking products and services.

• Coordinate with other branch teams to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.

• Identify and escalate unusual or suspicious transactions in accordance with AML/CFT and fraud prevention procedures.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information and safeguard cash, documents, and other bank assets.

• Comply with internal controls, operational procedures, and applicable banking regulations.

• Support other branch activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Banking, Marketing, or a related field.

• At least 1–3 years of experience in banking, branch operations, customer service, cash handling, or a related financial services role.

• Experience handling deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and/or loan releases is an advantage.
