ROLE PURPOSE:
Responsible for the negotiations and timely closing of short-term and long-term credit facilities for the company, its operating subsidiaries and new business initiatives, including, but not limited to, loans, bank guarante_e, performance bonds, and other services
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead in the loan acquisition activities for operating subsidiaries, including review of financial models, managing the RFP (request for proposal) process among counterparty banks, organizing due diligence site visits, negotiating for loan terms and covenants with key bank officer and reviewing loan documents in coordination with legal and lenders’ counsel
- Assist in the implementation of fundraising strategies for the company
- Negotiate short-term loan rates and execute transaction with counterparty banks to ensure competitive rates
- Procure bank guarante_e and other credit facilities for parent company, operating subsidiaries, and new business projects to support the company’s expansion activities
- Present analyses on economic updates and market developments to the Assets and Liabilities Committee to aid in the formulation of financing strategies for the Enterprise
- Coordinates with trustees for investment recommendations, amendments to the trust agreement, and provision of RTF-related requirements
- Prepares and monitors summary of the RTF’s performance and prepares report for the Retirement and Welfare Plan Committee
- Develop core banking relationships for operating subsidiaries and new business projects to ensure availability of debt capital for newly-incorporated companies
- Organize lenders’ briefings and develop communication plans and FAQs to update counterparty banks on the initiatives and banking requirements of the company and its subsidiaries
- Prepares reports on loan exposures and present to ALCO risk exposures of the company and of the subsidiaries arising from loan transactions and recommend strategies how to manage these risks
- Solicit and negotiate for other bank services that maybe required by the parent company and its subsidiaries to support the company’s acquisitions and bids for new businesses (e.g. bank testimonial letters, bid bonds, escrow accounts)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
experience in corporate loans and corporate banking
4–7+ years of experience in funding, treasury, finance operations, or similar roles
Strong understanding of financial instruments, cash management, or lending operations
