Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Balance Sheet Substantiation COE - Senior Finance Analyst in a hybrid setup to strengthen reconciliation processes and ensure IFRS17 compliance. The role collaborates with regional offices and business units to drive efficient governance and accurate financial reporting.

The candidate will own end-to-end reconciliation processes, mentor juniors, and participate in regional strategic projects to improve substantiation performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate balance sheet account reconciliations including insurance-related accounts.
• Provide timely and insightful balance sheet substantiation commentary for business reviews and decisions.
• Ensure transactions are stated accurately per IFRS17, GAAP and company policy.
• Identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies with Finance partners and Business Units.
• Lead governance meetings with stakeholders and maintain audit trails.
