Job summary

AvantePH, based in Tondo, Philippines, seeks a Production Manager to lead pastry and cake production, drive planning, supervise the team, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. You will optimize processes and align production with demand and store needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in bakery or food manufacturing, with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. GMP/HACCP experience is a plus and a fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in bakery/cake production or food manufacturing is required.
Experience with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) is an advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed production plans based on demand forecasts, orders, and store needs.
Prepare daily/weekly schedules for baking, decorating, cooling, packaging, and delivery coordination.
Lead and mentor production staff including bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure smooth handoff between production stages.
Train new hires on procedures, safety, and quality expectations.
Monitor production workflows to reduce waste, improve yields, and maximize capacity.
Coordinate with purchasing for timely ingredients and packaging supply replenishment.
Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements to equipment, procedures, or staffing.
Prepare production reports, cost analysis, and waste tracking.
