Job summary

Spinneys Philippines is seeking a New Product Development Chef for Bakery to lead concept creation, testing and standardization of bakery and pastry offerings for the local market. The role emphasizes taste, cost targets, and commercial viability while upholding food safety standards.

You will develop recipes, conduct trials, and ensure scalability for central kitchens and store production, collaborating with procurement, QA and sales teams to drive growth and brand differentiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Food Technology or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as Chef, Product Development Chef or R&D Chef.
• Experience in supermarket, commissary, food manufacturing or multi outlet food service is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop, test, and standardize new bakery and pastry products.
• Research trends, customer preferences and competitive local market offerings.
• Create recipes with accurate ingredient specifications and yields.
• Cost recipes, analyze margins, and ensure target food cost % and SRP.
• Scale products for central kitchen or store production and ensure food safety compliance.
• Collaborate with procurement, QA, and cross-functional teams on launches.
