Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years Python development experience with FastAPI and API development.
• Strong REST API design, versioning, and exception handling experience.
• Hands-on Docker and Docker Compose experience.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket, and secure development practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB (SQL/NoSQL).
• Kafka or streaming for large data sets.
• CI/CD and Test-driven Development experience.
• Intermediate SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift).
• AI system development concepts (langchain, RAG, observability).
• OAuth2/JWT API security experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build scalable, secure, high-performance backend applications.
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and Docker Compose.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the software development lifecycle.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS environments using established CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Implement API versioning, authentication, authorization, error handling, and security controls.
• Optimize application performance and database queries.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
