Job summary

MicroSourcing in Cebu City, Philippines is seeking a Backend Developer to build robust, scalable server-side applications and APIs.

You will translate business requirements into efficient logic, integrate third-party services, troubleshoot, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure software on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2–5 years of backend development experience with languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Proficiency with Git and standard development workflows

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT)
• Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
