Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to join our team in Cagayan De Oro, working onsite. You will design, implement, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data models to support business needs.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of backend experience with Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP, strong API, database, and version-control skills, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in an Agile environment. Onsite position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2–5 years of backend development experience with Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
• Proficiency with Git and standard development workflows.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools.
• Understanding of OAuth or JWT authentication/authorization.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.

Your Role

As a Back-End Developer, you will:

What You Need

Non-negotiables

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

2–5 years of experience in backend development using languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

Proficiency with Git and standard development workflows

Preferred Skills/expertise

Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools

Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT)

Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems

Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams
