Job summary

Penbrothers is seeking a Senior NOC Engineer for a global leader in digital trust, PKI, and machine identity management. You will provide advanced monitoring, triage, and runbook execution for hosted environments, ensuring swift issue classification and escalation.

You will coordinate incidents across NOC, Support, and Cloud Engineering, coach junior staff, and contribute to KPI reporting and runbook improvements. The role supports growth within a remote, home-based setup at Penbrothers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Network Operations with monitoring, incident management, and escalation.
• Hands-on cloud infra experience with Microsoft Azure; AWS valued.
• Experience with monitoring platforms Datadog or Azure Monitor for alerts.
• Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Scripting in PowerShell or Bash with automation experience.
• Strong incident management, ticketing, escalation workflows.
• Experience developing SOPs, runbooks, dashboards, KPIs, or automated remediation.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, KQL, containers a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Monitoring & Alert Management: monitor environments, triage alerts, ensure actionable classifications.
• Incident Coordination: coordinate incidents across NOC, Support, and Cloud Engineering.
• Runbook Ownership & Execution: runbooks for low/moderate issues, improve runbooks.
• Operational KPI Reporting: support KPI reporting and trend analysis.
• Maintenance & Change Monitoring: oversee maintenance, coordinate coverage, document observations.
• Team Enablement: coach associates, promote documentation, participate in process improvements.
