Job summary

Litmos Limited seeks a Cloud Engineer to own and evolve a Microsoft Azure environment, migrating from legacy VM workloads to cloud-native patterns while managing data platforms and automation. You will work across SQL Server today and Postgres on the horizon, with Synapse and Azure AI Foundry on the roadmap, in a distributed team across regions.

The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code (Bicep), automation (PowerShell/Python), and security hardening aligned with GDPR and regional standards.

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on experience running production Azure infrastructure at senior level.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills, ideally with Bicep, plus scripting in PowerShell (Python is a plus).
• Experience administering SQL Server in production; openness to Postgres.
• Exposure to Synapse, Azure AI Foundry, or comparable data/AI platforms.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and security/compliance frameworks.
• Comfort collaborating with a distributed US/AU team and shifting hours for overlap.

Responsibilities

• Own & Modernize the Platform: manage day-to-day Azure compute, storage, and platform services; govern access controls and costs.
• Data & AI Platforms: administer SQL Server; support Postgres; optimize Synapse workloads and Azure AI Foundry deployments.
• Automate & Deploy: build and maintain Infrastructure as Code in Bicep; improve CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Secure & Comply: design and maintain Azure networking; apply security hardening and ensure GDPR compliance; support audits.
• Observability & Reliability: strengthen monitoring and resilience with backup/DR plans; optimize cloud spend without compromising reliability.
