Job summary

Manulife IT Delivery Center in the Philippines is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to help make our cloud applications reliable, resilient, and performing at a stellar level. You will work within an agile team, creating automation scripts and building automation suites to enable continuous deployment and faster feedback.

You will maintain the automation framework, review test code, and contribute to test process improvements while applying quality engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in software test engineering/quality engineering
• Ability to analyze the requirement, define scope of testing, and derive test scenarios and test cases
• Experience in test case management, defect management, and test automation tools
• Understanding of various testing phases

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an agile team, participating in all aspects of the agile process and ceremonies
• Create automation scripts from scratch
• Build and execute automation suites
• Debug automation test results
• Create config file to integrate to CI/CD
• Maintain the existing automation framework (feature changes, data, and scripts)
• Adhere to Quality Engineering processes and documentation throughout the testing cycle
• Review automation test scripts/code changes to establish best practices for the team
• Identify tests that provide value
• Analyze specific problems within the test process and propose effective solutions
• Participate in test improvement activities that meets business objectives
• Suggest appropriate business-driven decisions on improvements to the test process
