Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field is required.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience with industrial automation and SCADA/HMI systems is essential.
• Ability to read P&ID, electrical diagrams, and control schematics.
• Knowledge of refrigeration controls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design automation and instrumentation systems for refrigeration facilities and process plants.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD systems.
• Install and calibrate pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and valves.
• Perform testing, commissioning, startup, and system integration activities.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of automation panels and instruments.
• Monitor plant performance and propose energy-saving improvements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams during projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and maintenance records.

About the role

The Automation & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for the design, programming, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial automation and instrumentation systems for refrigeration facilities, cold storage plants, ice plants, and industrial process systems. The position focuses on PLC automation, instrumentation controls, monitoring systems, process optimization, energy efficiency, and ensuring reliable plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automation and instrumentation systems for industrial refrigeration and process facilities
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD systems
• Install and calibrate instrumentation devices such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, level sensors, control valves, gauges and switches
• Perform testing, commissioning, startup, and system integration activities
• Prepare control logic diagrams, instrumentation layouts, P&ID references, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of automation panels, field instruments, and control systems
• Monitor plant performance and recommend process improvements and energy-saving solutions
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams during project execution
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and operational procedures
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and maintenance records
