Job summary

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking an AutoCAD Operator to join the Engineering Drafting team in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

You will create and modify 2D and 3D drawings, translate engineering concepts into precise documentation, and collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy for steel manufacturing projects. The role requires 1+ year AutoCAD experience, GD&T knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year proven AutoCAD Operator experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards, GD&T, and documentation requirements.
• Experience in steel manufacturing, structural design, or related drafting fields.
• Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication with engineers and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset for design issues.
• Familiarity with other design tools such as Revit or Plant 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

About the role

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Operator to join our Engineering Drafting team. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD software. You will play a crucial part in translating engineering concepts into precise technical documentation that guides our manufacturing and construction processes. This position is essential to maintaining our high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all steel manufacturing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and develop detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD software

• Modify existing drawings based on revisions, feedback, and design changes from engineers and project managers

• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, technical specifications, and company quality guidelines

• Prepare accurate bill of materials and parts lists from completed designs

• Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to clarify drawing requirements and specifications

• Maintain organized and properly documented drawing files and archives

• Verify dimensional accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation before submission

• Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for client and stakeholder reviews

• Support the adoption and implementation of new drawing standards and design processes

• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary designs and technical information

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D design) with a minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an AutoCAD Operator

• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical documentation requirements

• Experience in steel manufacturing, structural steel design, or related engineering drafting fields

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate drawings with minimal errors

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering specifications and technical requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with engineers and other stakeholders

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve design-related issues

• Familiarity with other design software or tools (such as Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar) is advantageous

• A relevant diploma or certification in drafting, engineering, or a related technical field
