Job summary

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Metro Manila. You will create precise technical drawings and designs using CAD software, supporting projects from concept through production.

You will review drawings for accuracy, prepare assembly and parts lists, and ensure compliance with safety codes and quality standards while collaborating with engineers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and related drafting standards.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience in steel fabrication or related manufacturing processes is a plus.

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to join our engineering team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Metro Manila and is fundamental to our design and drafting operations. As a CAD Operator, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and designs using computer-aided design software, supporting our engineering projects from conception through to production. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency and quality in our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing

• Create and modify detailed technical drawings and designs using CAD software in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards
• Convert sketches, blueprints and design concepts provided by engineers into accurate digital CAD models and drawings
• Prepare construction drawings, assembly drawings and parts lists for manufacturing and production use
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness and adherence to company standards and regulations
• Coordinate the review and encoding of Hardware and Special Raw materials (BOQ)
• Supervise and manage team of CAD designers and draft man to ensure timely and accurate production of engineering drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant safety codes, building regulations and quality standards

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar industry-standard design programs
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical drawing conventions and manufacturing processes relevant to steel and metal fabrication
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in complex technical drawings
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, sketches and specifications
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers and production teams
• Knowledge of ISO standards, drawing standards and quality control procedures

• Competency in using digital tools and software with a strong commitment to continuous learning
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
