Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software and industry standards.

Responsibilities

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Operator to join our Engineering Drafting team on a full-time basis. This position is based in Makati City, Metro Manila, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and technical documentation of our diverse engineering projects. As a CAD Operator, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and specifications that guide our construction and manufacturing processes. Your work will directly support our engineers and project managers in delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain technical drawings and designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, and assembly diagrams for engineering projects
• Convert rough sketches, technical notes and design concepts provided by senior engineers into accurate and professional CAD drawings
• Ensure all drawings are properly dimensioned, annotated and comply with relevant technical standards and building codes
• Maintain organised drawing files and documentation systems, implementing proper version control and file naming conventions
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and project managers to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues
• Prepare drawing packages for submission to clients, regulatory bodies and construction teams
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback, design changes and project modifications
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and material schedules as required by project needs
• Maintain current knowledge of CAD software updates, new tools and industry best practices

What we’re looking for

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar industry-standard programmes
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, conventions and technical documentation practices
• Solid knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and error-free drawings
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CAD Operator or in a similar technical drafting role
• Formal qualification in CAD, engineering drafting or a related field (diploma or certificate)
• Experience with specific sectors such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural design or building information modelling (BIM) would be advantageous
• Problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning and professional development
