Job summary

Offshore Talent in Manila leads offshore accounting operations for an Australian practice, seeking an experienced Team Leader to direct a high-performing offshore team and serve as primary operational bridge to Australian leadership.

The role focuses on workflow automation, system implementations (migrating legacy spreadsheets to modern CRM and practice management platforms), and rigorous QA to ensure full compliance before files reach Australian partners.

Qualifications

6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years directly supporting Australian accounting and tax practices.
Minimum 3+ years in a supervisory or management role leading offshore accounting teams.
Experience architecting, documenting and implementing accounting workflows and SOPs.
Proficiency with Xero (Xero Practice Manager/Workpapers) and exposure to MYOB or QuickBooks Online.
Hands-on experience with practice management tools and workflow platforms such as Karbon, Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, or HubSpot.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee offshore accountants, bookkeepers, and workflow admins; provide coaching and performance reviews.
Conduct technical QA reviews of Australian financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts.
Design and rollout SOPs, automated workflows, and software integrations (CRM, Practice Management, Xero).
Manage resource allocation, track progress, and ensure SLA compliance.
Lead internal QA audits to ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards and ATO regulations.
Serve as bridge to Australian leadership, reporting on team performance and delivery metrics.
