Job summary

Capita Business Advisors and Tax Consultants is expanding its offshore Philippines team with a Senior Australian Accountant / Reviewer & Team Leader role. You will prepare and review Australian tax compliance, financial reporting, and client work while mentoring staff.

Expect to review workloads, improve processes, and coordinate with the Principal Accountant in Australia, with potential for leadership growth and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable Australian public-practice experience.
• Accounting or related degree; CPA or CA highly regarded.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Australian tax, including CGT, Division 7A, GST/BAS and trust distributions.
• Sound knowledge of AASB requirements and experience preparing/reviewing general and special purpose financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals across Australian sectors.
• Review bookkeeping, balance-sheet reconciliations, payroll, superannuation and GST accounts.
• Personally undertake bookkeeping and reconciliation work where required.
• Delegate work, monitor progress and follow up staff and clients regarding deadlines and review points.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and variance analysis.
