Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking an experienced accountant with AU Public Practice background to join our offshore team servicing Australian clients from the Philippines. You will prepare financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work for various entities while collaborating with Assistant Managers, Managers, and Directors.

The role requires strong knowledge of AU accounting principles, taxation laws, and hands-on experience with Xero and MYOB.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of AU Public Practice experience.
• Australian accounting degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of AU accounting principles and taxation laws.
• Advanced proficiency in Xero and MYOB.
• Good working knowledge of BAS and IAS where applicable.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, partnerships, deceased estates, and SMSFs.
• Prepare IAS and BAS and complete Australian tax compliance requirements.
• Prepare complete and accurate workpapers with appropriate referencing for review.
• Review and analyze financial information to identify errors, risks, and areas requiring further review.
• Apply strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting principles.
• Manage workflow effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with client correspondence, tax research, and liaising with the ATO and regulators as required.
