Job summary

D&V Philippines is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead fieldwork on engagements, train associates, and ensure quality and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other frameworks.

The role involves supervising audits from planning to completion, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to marketing efforts. The position follows a hybrid schedule with on-site attendance for monthly/quarterly meetings and client requirements, in Manila time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in auditing Philippine-based clients.
  • Proven track record in managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid grasp of business and risk management issues, with familiarity in relevant regulatory and reporting standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, budget-conscious environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and presentation capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of audit software like CCH Prosystems and Caseware will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Execute audit procedures in accordance with engagement plans, firm methodologies, and applicable professional standards.
  • Prepare financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable reporting frameworks.
  • Manage audit engagements from planning through completion, including risk assessment, audit testing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Analyze client financial information, business processes, and internal controls to identify risks and support audit conclusions.
  • Prepare audit workpapers, management letters, and other engagement deliverables to support audit findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor engagement progress against budgets and timelines, escalating issues and risks as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining professional relationships and facilitating the efficient resolution of audit matters.
  • Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of audit files to ensure engagement quality and consistency prior to manager or partner review.
  • Research and apply relevant accounting, auditing, and regulatory guidance to address technical issues encountered during engagements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing engagement efficiency and audit quality.
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to client engagements.
  • Support business development efforts through exceptional client service and identification of additional client needs.

Job description

The Audit Supervisor assumes full responsibility for performing fieldwork on audit or review engagements with minimum supervision. Trains and supervises audit associates and associates assigned to engagements. Helps implement accounting systems for new clients. Ensures higher-level personnel are kept informed about the status of engagements. Serves as an instructor or discussion leader in educational programs. Participates in the firm’s marketing activities.

Work Schedule:

  • 10:00pm to 7:00am Manila Time—Mondays to Fridays

Work Setup:

  • Hybrid (Required to report onsite during monthly or quarterly team meetings and as needed for business or client requirements)
