Job summary

Shore 360 seeks experienced bookkeepers to manage UK and Australian compliance for international clients. Responsibilities include UK VAT, HMRC submissions, Xero-based reconciliations, payroll, and monthly reporting across UK and Australia.

Strong accuracy and independence are essential. Ideal candidates bring UK VAT knowledge, Australian tax familiarity, and hands-on Xero experience to support BAS, payroll, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably with UK and Australian businesses.
• UK bookkeeping and VAT experience highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of UK VAT/HMRC and Australian compliance requirements.
• Hands-on Xero experience.
• Experience with AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities

UK Bookkeeping & Tax Compliance – Primary Focus (65%)

• Manage UK bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end reporting.
• Prepare and support UK VAT returns and tax compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial and tax records and resolve discrepancies.
• Where qualified, lodge VAT/tax submissions directly with HMRC

Australian Bookkeeping & Compliance – Secondary Focus (35%)

• Manage Xero bank reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and monthly reporting.
• Prepare payroll journals and complete related reconciliations.
• Support BAS, superannuation, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, and tax requirements.
• Review and resolve month-end discrepancies and adjustments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably with UK and Australian businesses.
• UK bookkeeping and VAT experience highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of UK VAT/HMRC and Australian compliance requirements.
• Hands-on Xero experience.
• Experience with AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
