Job summary

Shore360 is hiring an Australian Senior Accountant for dayshift, on-site work in the Philippines. You will manage end-to-end accounting, taxation compliance, and financial reporting for a diverse client portfolio with a focus on Australian tax law and ATO compliance.

Required: Bachelor in Accountancy, 5+ years in public practice, CPA Australia (or CA) preferred, and proficiency in Xero/MYOB with advanced Excel. On-site with perks including day 1HMO and weekends off.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of public practice accounting and taxation experience in Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and ATO compliance.
  • Experience in day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Australian income tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships and Trusts.
  • Lodge BAS and IAS; manage GST, FBT, CGT, and Payroll Tax obligations.
  • Prepare financial statements and support kpis for clients; perform GL reconciliations and monthly close.
  • Assist with AP/AR, invoices, payments, and finance/admin tasks across departments.

We are seeking an experienced Australian Senior Accountant with a strong background in public practice to manage end-to-end accounting, taxation compliance, and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate brings comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax legislation, expertise with local compliance requirements (ATO), and hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial analysis.Roles and Responsibilities

Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and review Australian income tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships, and Trusts.
  • Prepare, calculate, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
  • Handle calculations and statutory compliance for GST, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Payroll Tax.
  • Ensure timely lodgement of tax returns and compliance obligations with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), acting as a key point of contact for ATO inquiries.

Financial Reporting & General Ledger Maintenance

  • Prepare complete, accurate financial statements and supporting workpapers in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Conduct general ledger reviews, month‑end/year‑end balance sheet reconciliations, and depreciation schedules.
  • Process bank and corporate credit card reconciliations, track costs, and perform discrepancy follow‑ups.
  • Assist in producing income statements, balance sheets, expense reviews, and payroll record checks for corporate financial reporting.

Operational Accounting & Administration

  • Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) vendor payments, Accounts Receivable (AR) invoicing, and credit control/collections.
  • Create and upload payment files to online banking systems.
  • Support annual insurance renewals and ad‑hoc finance/admin tasks across departments.
  • Assist with specialized operational tasks, such as uploading construction budgets and job claims.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements across team operations.

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications: CPA Australia (or CA / equivalent professional qualification) highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of public practice accounting and taxation experience in Australia.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, ATO compliance, and Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Portfolio & Sector Experience: Proven success managing a portfolio of Australian clients across industries such as Construction, Engineering, Healthcare, Professional Services, Real Estate, Retail, Logistics, or Manufacturing.

Software & Technical Proficiency

  • Accounting Platforms: Xero, MYOB
  • Productivity Tools: Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Microsoft Office Suite
