Job summary

Omada One Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant / Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end Australian payroll and related accounting duties. The role requires expertise in Xero, Excel, and Australian payroll compliance, with responsibility for BAS/IAS, reporting, and advisory support.

The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision, ensure accuracy, and contribute to process improvements within a collaborative team environment. Australian payroll knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with extensive exposure to Australian payroll and compliance.
• Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Advanced knowledge of Australian accounting principles, tax regulations, and payroll legislation.
• High attention to detail and a proven track record of minimizing errors in financial transactions and payroll.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and execution of Australian payroll including superannuation, PAYG withholding, and STP reporting with high accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping activities including bank reconciliations, AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Oversee the preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, and other statutory requirements in compliance with Australian standards.
• Provide financial reports and insights to support management decisions.
• Maintain well-organized documentation and filing systems, ensuring all records are up-to-date and audit-ready.
• Handle client communication and provide clear, concise responses to accounting and payroll inquiries.
• Support the onboarding of junior team members, where applicable, and serve as a subject matter expert in payroll and compliance.
• Review credit applications, maintain supplier relations, and assist in ad hoc administrative support.
