Job summary

Boomering is a leading outsourcing and talent solutions company connecting Australian businesses with highly skilled professionals in the Philippines. As a Bookkeeper, you will support an Australian accounting firm and its clients with accurate financial records and compliant processes.

You will handle reconciliations, BAS/IAS, payroll, month-end activities, and multi-client coordination from a remote Philippines location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience in accounting/tax

About the Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will provide bookkeeping and accounting support to an Australian accounting firm and its clients.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, supporting compliance activities and assisting with regular accounting processes.

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience working with an Australian accounting firm and a strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations
• Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
• Payroll processing, including STP and PAYG
• Month-end functions, including reporting and resolving account discrepancies
• Transaction allocation and bookkeeping
• Year-end STP Finalisation
• SGC statement preparation and lodgement
• TPAR preparation and lodgement
• Fixed asset reconciliation
• GST and BAS reconciliation
• Supporting other bookkeeping and accounting requirements as required

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or practice support within accounting/tax
• Experience working with an Australian accounting firm
• Experience managing multiple clients
• Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping and accounting processes
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent written English for preparing accurate client correspondence and documentation
• Highly organised and detail-oriented
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
• Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to accuracy
• Time- and deadline-oriented
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team

Work Setup (Full time)

Schedule: Fixed Saturday and Sunday off

Work Arrangement: Remote / Work-from-home

Location: Philippines

You must have:

• A stable internet connection of at least 80 Mbps
• A dedicated work area free from distractions
• The ability to work reliably in a remote environment
