Job summary

Outstaffer.AI is seeking an Accounting All-Rounder for a 3-6 month contract. The role includes end-to-end accounting, AR/AP management, BAS/GST lodgements, and month-end reporting. This remote position follows AU office hours, with a dedicated finance team and collaboration across BUs.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Accounting with 3–5 years of hands-on experience, Australian accounting exposure, and strong Excel/ERP skills to support ongoing projects and external audits.

Responsibilities

Job description

As the Accounting All-Rounder, you will be responsible for end to end accounting functions including banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, Fixed Asset, month end reporting, and other accounting tasks as required. You will be working in a close knit team towards a common goal, supporting and providing great services to the business.

Job type: Contract for 3-6 months

Hours: Full-time, M-F, AU office hours

Setup: Remote

The key responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive end-to-end accounting processing and reporting for Business units.
• Daily management of banking, cash receipts, and payment allocations.
• Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable function and credit account application process.
• Manage and oversee Accounts Payable via a paperless system, including bank validation process for suppliers.
• Preparation and production of EOM financial reports.
• Perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Provide support to other members of the finance team.
• Promptly addressing customer inquiries and facilitating credit card payments.
• Preparation and reconciliation of BAS/GST lodgements.
• Monthly Payroll Tax Lodgement and Yearly Reconciliation.
• Manage workers compensation insurance renewal process for BUs.
• Liaise with accounting firm/auditors, tax authorities, and other external partners as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance team on special projects and financial analysis.
• Assist in the implementation of new financial ERP systems.

About You

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in similar role within the accounting or finance domain.

• Proven proficiency in the use of Financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of accounting principles and accounting standard.
