AVENSYS CONSULTING INC. is seeking a Senior Associate, Derivatives Operations (Trade Management) to support trading, investment, and reporting activities across trade settlements.
You will handle reconciliation, liaise with brokers/custodians for unmatched trades, and assist with FX and derivatives settlements. The role requires 3+ years in capital markets with solid reconciliation knowledge and proficiency in Excel/SQL.
About the role
Senior Associate, Derivatives Operations (Trade Management) supporting the various trading, investment, and reporting activities of the firm. Trading Operations oversees the full breadth of firm wide trade settlements by leveraging scalable, straight through processes to ensure a seamless transition of a trade through its complete lifecycle from trade matching and reconciliation to allocation and delivery and finally, funding and settlement.
Key responsibilities
Reconcile all investment products handled by DerivOps in Three-way Positions Reconciliation
Liaise with the relevant counterparties (Brokers and Custodians) for all unmatched trades from the Traiana Harmony system for Synthetic Futures and FX products
Coordinate with the relevant counterparties (Brokers and Custodians) for all unmatched trades from the CLS tool for FX products
Create wires for OTC derivative instruments, Settlements for Commodities, Mortgage-Backed Securities, and Synthetics, and Index Swaps
Assist in answering FX-related inquiries sent to the FX MO distribution email
Assist in Monitoring and resolving all ageing Derivops wire breaks
Properly communicate with onshore counterparts, custodians, brokers, and administrators to query, escape and resolve issues pertaining to the processes and deliverables assigned
Identify opportunities for process efficiencies through streamlining and automation projects by collaborating with other team members
Ensure timely update and completeness of process documentation
Able to take on additional responsibilities as the group expands
About you
At least 3 years of experience with knowledge/exposure to Capital Markets, Reconciliation and General Fund Accounting Principles
Basic instrument knowledge in security types (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives) and the Trade Life Cycle/Settlement process
Basic to Intermediate knowledge in Excel and SQL, or VBA is a plus
Good communication and client service skills
Can work with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality output
Multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Proactive, motivated, detail-oriented, a team player and knows how to work with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and metrics
Must be willing to work on Graveyard shift (9 PM - 6 AM Philippine Time)
Comfortable working in rapidly changing, team-based work environment
Bachelor's/College Degree in Financial Management and other related business courses
