Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Metro Manila is seeking a backend-focused professional to support Ocean freight services. You will work on one or more back-end services, ensuring timely and accurate task completion across stations and regions.

The role requires a degree, 0–3 years in BPO or logistics, and solid English communication. You will collaborate with teams to implement best practices and improve service delivery for our business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; logistics or management preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in BPO or logistics.
• Air Freight experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong English communication.
• Exposure to ERPs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand documentation requirements and ensure jobs are executed per SOP.
• Meet department SLAs and KPIs as per delivery guidelines.
• Operate on services according to shifts, countries or regions.
• Deliver high-quality service through timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify improvements and best practices.
• Flag challenges to supervisor and business partner in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for regular communication and flow of information.

Job description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work upon one or more back-end services for the Ocean freight service line, supporting countries, regions, or global and ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks/target assigned. You will be part of a larger team, sharing best practices & working upon the services with continuous improvement approach.

Key Responsibilities

• To understand the requirement of the station’s / country’s documentation and ensure jobs are executed as per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure department SLAs and all Key Performance Indicators are being met as per the agreed delivery guidelines.
• Operate on the services according to the shifts, countries, or regions aligned.
• Deliver a high level of service quality through timely and accurate completion of services.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the business to identify solutions, best practices, and opportunities to improve the service to our business partners.
• Flag any challenges in the operations to the immediate supervisor and business partner in a timely manner.
• Co-ordinate with the relevant stakeholders for regular communication and flow of information as defined for the respective service.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor´s degree (any). A degree in logistics, management will be an advantage.
• 0 – 3 years of job experience from BPO or logistics domain – Preferred
• Air Freight experience will be preferred
• Good knowledge in MS office
• Effective English communication skills, written and verbal
• Exposure to working with Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERPs) - Preferred
