Job summary

ALLIED SEARCH PTE. LTD. in the Philippines is hiring an Associate Medical Technologist for a lab setting. You will receive and assess specimens, operate LIS for orders and results, and perform routine and moderately complex tests following established protocols.

You will escalate critical results, maintain supplies, and ensure safety and quality in line with GLP requirements. 1–2 years of CLS experience is preferred, with responsibilities including shift work and assisting trainees.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical Science.
• Preferably 1-2 years Clinical Laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess laboratory specimens, rejecting unsuitable samples where required.
• Operate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for test orders, results entry, and enquiries.
• Perform routine and moderately complex laboratory tests according to established protocols.
• Escalate critical results, incidents, and equipment malfunctions to appropriate laboratory personnel.
• Prepare reagents and materials and monitor laboratory supplies for timely replenishment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper operation of laboratory equipment.
• Attend to customer enquiries and provide appropriate assistance.
• Comply with laboratory safety, regulatory, accreditation, and Good Laboratory Practice requirements.
• Support the evaluation of new testing methods and provide guidance to trainees and junior staff.
• Assist with laboratory administrative duties and perform shift work as required.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
