Job summary

Allied Search Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist, Section Leader, to oversee the technical and operational management of laboratory services in a West region setting. The role includes leading and developing staff, ensuring quality through ISO 15189 compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology or Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Experience leading laboratory staff and ensuring quality standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 15189 and QA/QC activities.

As a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist, Section Leader (West / 5.5 days), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee the technical and operational management of laboratory services and ensure service continuity.

• Lead, supervise and develop laboratory staff, including training, competency assessment and performance monitoring.

• Drive quality assurance and quality control activities in accordance with ISO 15189, HCSA and other applicable standards.

• Monitor quality indicators, audit findings, incidents and feedback, and lead corrective and preventive actions.

• Participate in method validation/verification, equipment evaluation, commissioning, calibration and performance monitoring.

• Investigate technical and operational issues and lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory records, documentation and quality management systems.

• Support laboratory safety, risk management, incident reporting and emergency preparedness.

• Manage manpower planning, rostering, inventory and other operational resources.

• Prepare management updates and reports as required

• Any other ad hoc duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology or Medical Laboratory Sciences.
