At ADB, our mission is simple yet powerful: to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship The position of Associate Investment Officer is assigned to the Trade and Supply Chain Division (TSCD) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). • Relationship Management and Portfolio Monitoring: Contribute to relationship management and portfolio monitoring activities for existing and prospective financial institution counterparties, including preparing financial analysis, supporting credit and limit reviews, assisting with onboarding and due diligence, monitoring compliance reports, and helping prepare waiver requests and risk-related submissions.
  • Market Research, Analysis, and Business Development: Prepare research and analytical inputs on market risks, pricing, banking sector developments, financial institution performance, country and political risks, and trade and supply chain finance trends to support portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and business development activities.
  • Projects, Initiatives, and Knowledge Products: Support TSCFP projects, initiatives, and knowledge products by coordinating inputs, preparing materials and updates, assisting with stakeholder follow-ups, supporting process improvements and systems-related activities, and helping maintain records and documentation.

You will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, accounting, marketing or other related fields; preferably with advanced training.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in trade finance, supply chain finance, banking, financial institutions, credit, portfolio management, transaction execution, or related private sector operations.
  • Practical knowledge of trade finance and supply chain finance products, financial institution analysis, portfolio monitoring, credit applications, risk management, compliance requirements, and transaction documentation.
  • Strong client orientation and extensive experience in client-facing role in a financial institution setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant operational, portfolio, and data management systems.
