Job summary

PDAX is seeking a Finance professional to join our growing team in Metro Manila. You will prepare financial reports, manage month-end close for assets and liabilities, and ensure accuracy across ledgers.

You will also support audits, compliance, and cross-functional improvements in a fast-paced startup environment, leveraging Excel and financial software to deliver insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in financial services or technology.
  • Experience in accounting for securities such as bonds and equities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
  • Execute month-end closing activities for assets and current liabilities.
  • Maintain detailed account schedules, investigate variances, and prepare adjusting entries.
  • Perform financial variance analysis to support management decisions.
  • Oversee recording of company transactions and weekly transaction cycles.
  • Review and process disbursement requests per policies and approvals.
  • Support regulatory compliance and internal controls; assist in audits.

General Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Month-End Excellence
    • Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and internal deadlines.
    • Execute month-end closing activities for assigned accounts, including non-current assets (property, plant & equipment, intangible assets, and leases) and current liabilities (accounts payable, accruals, and related balances), in accordance with the established month-end close checklist.
    • Maintain detailed account schedules, investigate variances and reconciling items, and prepare the necessary adjusting journal entries to ensure ledger accuracy and an audit-ready financial position.
    • Perform financial variance analysis, providing meaningful insights into operational and financial performance to support management decision-making.
Financial Operations, Compliance & Controls
  • Oversee the recording of company transactions and monitor weekly transaction cycles to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial records.
  • Review and process disbursement requests, ensuring transactions comply with company policies, delegated authorities, and supporting documentation requirements.
  • Support financial compliance by adhering to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and accounting policies while maintaining accurate and reliable financial records.
  • Assist in internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, and by responding to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial data discrepancies, improve the accuracy of financial information, and enhance end-to-end financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency through process enhancements and standardization.
  • Provide support across finance operations by contributing to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other ad hoc assignments aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in assuming expanding responsibilities as business requirements evolve, contributing to the continuous development of the finance function.
