Job summary

ams OSRAM's Light Sensors & Photonics (LSP) unit is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support Final Test Operations and drive equipment improvements in a semiconductor manufacturing setting in Laguna. You will work hands-on with test handlers and collaborate across Production, Quality, Planning, and Engineering teams to optimize yield and reliability.

Candidate should have college-level education or a technical diploma in Electrical/ Electronics or related fields, plus experience supporting

Job description

We are LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics, one of three business units within ams OSRAM, advancing the digitalization of light. At LSP, we go beyond traditional sensing—combining light, silicon, and system expertise to enable digital photonics solutions. Our focus is clear: powering next-generation applications in data centers, AR/VR, mobile and automotive, where light becomes a critical interface for data, perception, and interaction. This evolution marks a shift from components to integrated photonics systems —driving performance, scalability, and innovation in high-growth segments.

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, Final Test Operations, or equipment engineering environments
• Hands-on experience with automated test handlers, test systems, and production support activities
• Knowledge of yield improvement, equipment uptime management, and manufacturing performance metrics such as MUBA, Availability and Efficiency
• Experience supporting equipment conversions, qualifications, and process validations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Production, Quality, Planning, and Engineering teams
• Previous experience leading equipment improvement projects, cost-reduction initiatives, or productivity enhancement programs is an advantage

• College level education or completion of a vocational/technical course in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related
• Experience in the semiconductor industry is an advantage, familiar with Multitest MT9928 and MT9510 Test Handlers is highly preferred and possesses basic technical knowledge in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and production support
• Knowledge of ESD, safety standards, and semiconductor manufacturing quality systems is preferred
• Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies such as, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or FMEA
