Job Description

Operations is responsible for supporting the varioustrading, investment and reporting activities of the firm. The coremission of the Operations group is to establish scalableinvestment workflows, ensure a controlled operating environmentand deliver high-quality client service to both internal andexternal business relationships. In addition to supporting primaryinvestment related activities, the groups assist in the design andimplementation of firm-wide projects, operational due diligence,counterparty management and client-related activities.

Portfolio Operations Team is the center of backoffice operations wherein the team is responsible for supportingthe various trading, investment, client, reporting andreconciliation activities of the firm. Specifically,reconciliation and reporting include cash reconciliation,positions reconciliation, net-asset value reconciliation,performance and returns reconciliation.

In addition to being the liaison between internalgroups, the Portfolio Operations Team delivers high quality client service to externalbusiness relationships. The client services group helps buildscalable investment workflows and assists in the design andimplementation of firm-wide projects, operational due diligence,counterparty management and client related activities.

Portfolio Operations is comprised of HFMF Recon,Derivatives Recon, Admin Recon, Mutual Funds Admin, ManagedAccounts Admin and Fees and Performance teams.

Admin Recon is responsible for financialstatements, net-asset value reconciliation/admin reconciliation,investor reconciliation and open items for admins.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Specialist is to prepare, review and completeassigned deliverables within a predetermined time set forth in thework allocation.
• Specialist is expected to properly communicate withonshore counterparts, custodians, brokers, administrators andregulatory agencies to query, escalation and resolve issuespertaining to the processes and deliverables of the team.
• Responsible for reviewing and maintaining the qualityof output by Associates.
• Facilitate and assist team lead to Onboard, Train andensure development of Associates.
• Act as a positive resource, mentor and providesadvice and assistance for the Associates.
• Facilitate and assist team lead in ensuringAssociates understand all team processes including new and updatedprocesses.
• Regularly collaborate with team lead on processimprovements, processes reviews and projects that may increase theefficiency and accuracy of the group.
• Approving requests from associates to a certain levelof authority assigned by the team lead
• Take responsibility for self-development andcontinuous learning to maintain and achieve the required knowledgefor the position.
• Take part in utilization and resource planning of theteam.
• Ensure completeness and update of processdocumentation and manual.
• Serve as back up resource in case the team isshort-staffed.
• Any related process as required by onshore andoffshore.

Qualifications

• 1. The candidate should have anunderstanding of general fund accounting
• 2. Understanding andvaluation of financial products including but not limited toequities, fixed income, options, swap futures andforwards.
