Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions; report discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
• Monitor shelf life and observe FIFO.
• Manage staffing levels and workload distribution.
• Maintain records and generate reports on warehouse status.
• Coordinate activities with other departments.
• Manage petty cash; disburse and record expenses.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads day-to-day operations which includes creating delivery schedules/vehicle assignments, monitoring stock levels at the warehouse, ensuring proper replenishment of stocks to the stores
• Performs weekly and monthly reconciliation of warehouse stocks
• Achieve high level of service through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring stocks are in good condition.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
• Monitors shelf life and ensure observance of FIFO
• Ensure shipments and inventory transactions’ accuracy and reports Warehouse Manager any discrepancies in deliveries, damaged items and any irregularities that might affect warehouse processes and targets
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload; ensure that warehouse staff are performing the necessary tasks and warehouse is kept in orderly manner
• Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
• Manage warehouse petty cash. Disburse and record daily and reimburse weekly or as needed.
• Any other task assigned by Warehouse Manager

Qualifications:

• A graduate of any four years business or management course
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• With excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to perform functions as required in nature and scope of the position
• Ability to be a team player, yet work independently when required
• Extensive knowledge and skill in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
