Job summary

Synchrony Financial is seeking an AVP - Sys Admin & AI Solution Architect to drive AI-enabled improvements in Source to Pay. You will align Coupa AI capabilities with procurement, sourcing, risk, and contracts workflows, collaborating with IT and Coupa teams on ticketing and issue resolution.

You will lead Gen AI deployments, ensure end-to-end testing, and mentor peers while shaping the path of AI integration across S2P processes in a large finance environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post‑Graduate in any discipline with 5+ years of overall IT industry experience, or in lieu of a degree, 7+ years of overall IT industry experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of business knowledge in Procurement, Supplier Management, Contracts (CLMA), Sourcing, Accounts Payable.
• 3+ years of experience implementing AI / Gen AI features and orchestration tools in widely used procurement applications.
• High level familiarity with AI/ML, Deep Learning, and Gen AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Align with Coupa’s roadmap for AI Agents and collaborate with S2P cross‑functional teams and the AI working group to enable AI‑related functionalities in the Coupa system.
• Implement Gen AI features and create AI agents in commonly used procurement applications.
• Coordinate with the Coupa team to provide requirements for Source to Pay use cases that need to be built within Coupa Agent Studio.
• Configure Procurement/Sourcing modules – CLMA, Sourcing, and Supplier Management – for new implementations and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain configuration timelines and documentation.
• Review release notes for Coupa releases and propose process efficiencies in the system.
• Lead the sanity‑check and end‑to‑end testing of new configurations, including defect‑tracking and documentation of resolutions.
• Collaborate with Coupa support to resolve product issues and defects.
• Active participation in the Coupa Community to request enhancements and track progress of new AI‑related features.

Your role includes building agents, launching preconfigured agents, and identifying opportunities to improve and connect processes within Synchrony. You will work closely with stakeholders and our AI working group to configure Procurement, Sourcing, Risk & Contracts modules of Synchrony’s Coupa system to meet Source to Pay requirements, and collaborate with IT and Coupa teams on ticketing processes and issue resolution.
