Job summary

Mabuhay Interflour Mill Inc. is seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor to oversee 25kg, 1kg, bran bagging and bulk loading operations, ensure equipment performance meets standards, and drive continuous improvement across the Packaging section.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, SAP transaction handling, adherence to GMP, 5S and PPE protocols, and the ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends. Reporting and collaboration with FSQ and Maintenance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical course completed.
• 3–4 years in food manufacturing; flour milling packaging experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in heated/dusty environments near noisy machines.
• Capable of handling electrical and mechanical tools and precise adjustments.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and medium-heavy lifting.
• Strong communication across all levels and ability to provide feedback.
• Proven track record implementing best practices and process improvements.
• Compliance with PPE, safety rules, and influence on others.
• Willing to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Experience supporting 24/7 continuous production processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage adjustments for 25kg, 1kg, Bran Bagging and Bulk Loading equipment.
• Monitor packaging performance and compare with standards; take corrective actions.
• Review packaging section checklists and ensure compliance.
• Continuously observe equipment and operational parameters.
• Prepare and send daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Prepare and send employee observation reports.
• Execute SAP transactions related to Packaging.
• Review FSQ analysis results and initiate necessary adjustments.
• Coordinate with maintenance on shutdowns or breakdowns.
• Report unusual events to Head Miller with recommendations.
• Oversee sanitation, PPE usage, hygiene, and pest control in Packaging.
• Implement 5S, GMP, food safety, and safety practices.
• Execute other tasks or special projects as assigned by Production Supervisor.

• A. Manage adjustments for both 25kg, 1kg, Bran Bagging and Bulk Loading equipment and promptly address any encountered issues.
• B. Regularly monitor the Packaging’s performance and compare it to the set standard parameters. Initiate corrective actions when these standards are not met.
• C. Review the checklists provided for the Packaging Section.
• D. Continuously observe Packaging equipment and operational parameters.
• E. Prepare and send daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• F. Prepare and send employee observation reports.
• G. Execute all SAP transactions related to Packaging.
• H. Review all analysis results provided by the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) team and initiate adjustments as necessary.
• I. Coordinate with the maintenance group regarding plant shutdown or machine breakdown.
• J. Report any unusual events or operational situations to the Head Miller and provide recommendations and suggestions for improvement.
• K. Personally oversee the maintenance of good sanitation, personal hygiene, and pest control activities within the Packaging Section.
• L. Ensure the implementation of 5S, GMP, food safety, and safety practices in the workplace.
• M. Execute other tasks or special projects as assigned by the Production Supervisor and Head Miler.

Job Qualifications

1. 1. Preferably a Bachelor's Degree or Technical Course Graduate
2. 2. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Food Manufacturing. Experience in Flour Milling 25-KG Packaging, Bran Bagging, 1KG Packaging, and Bulk Loading Operations is a plus.
3. 3. Can work in a heated and dusty environment with the capacity to work near machines that generate noise.
4. 4. Can handle various electrical and mechanical tools, possesses finger dexterity for assessing products, verifying texture and consistency, exhibits color discrimination when examining stocks and materials, demonstrates hand-eye coordination for machine adjustments.
5. 5. Possessed skills in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosis, able to handle medium to heavy lifting tasks, and comfortable working at heights.
6. 6. Capable of providing feedback, ideas, and suggestions when requested, and proficient in communicating effectively throughout all organizational levels.
7. 7. With demonstrated ability to implement best practices and tools to improve processes.
8. 8. With demonstrated ability to comply with MIMI’s occupational safety rules especially wearing of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in production area, and influence others to do so.
9. 9. With ability to work in rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, where necessary.
10. 10. With ability to work a continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
