Responsibilities

• Identify operational gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement audit tools, checklists, and reporting templates.
• Establish reporting systems to track issues and resolution timelines.
• Assist in SOPs, Manuals, dashboards, and reporting templates.
• Monitor metrics like sales, labor, costs, inventory, and customer experience.
• Map processes to identify bottlenecks and control gaps.
• Support ERP implementation and rollout.

About the role

The Assistant Operations Manager will support the VP – Commercial Operations in ensuring operational excellence, consistency, and efficiency across Candid Coffee's branches. The role will oversee branch performance, operational compliance, audit systems, process improvement, and the development of systems and tools that strengthen day-to-day operations. This position will play a key role in standardizing processes, identifying operational gaps, monitoring key performance metrics, and implementing improvements that support business growth. The role will also contribute to process mapping and ERP implementation, while providing management with timely operational reports, insights, and recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the VP – Commercial Operations in ensuring consistent execution across all branches
• Monitor branch performance, operational standards, and service quality
• Conduct regular branch visits, inspections, and operational audits
• Identify operational gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions
• Develop, improve, and implement operational audit tools and branch compliance checklists
• Establish effective reporting and monitoring systems to track operational issues and resolution timelines
• Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, Branch Operations Manuals, Performance Dashboards, and Reporting Templates
• Monitor and analyze key operational metrics including sales performance, labor productivity, cost control, inventory management, and customer experience
• Map existing operational processes and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and control gaps
• Support the implementation, rollout, and adoption of the company's ERP system

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of experience in operations, branch management, retail, food & beverage, hospitality, or a similar industry
• Strong understanding of SOPs, operational controls, audits, and process improvement
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, checklists, and operational systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable working with operational data
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly accountable
• Willingness to conduct regular branch visits and work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
• Experience managing or supporting multiple branches/outlets is an advantage
